This product is referred to, as the "Missing Link." TAP™ is a Goal &
Priority-Setting Process that is the "Bridge," between Strategy &
Implementation. Most Companies' have brilliant Strategies, however
they struggle with Implementation / Execution. TAP™ provides the
vehicle to put the Strategy to work, within a Group, Department or
an entire Organization by "translating" the Strategy into terms that
can be understood at the Operating Level & putting an Action
Planning Process in-place, which is fully implemented & measured.
TAP™ is designed to focus on the "Critical Success Factors," which
are the roots to Success. TAP™ takes participants thru a process
that evaluates current workload & priorities, matches them to
defined Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and then, redefines,
reprioritizes & "scrubs" them to be consistent and "aligned" with
intended, Strategy & Directions. The TAP = Target Action Plan is the
actual "output" of the Program. Each participant "owns" a TAP, which
is then fully implemented. TAP progress is updated
monthly-to-quarterly to assure that it is on-track. TAP™ can be
easily, integrated into a Company's Performance & Compensation
Program. In many cases, TAP™ works in cooperation with the Strategic
Formulation Program (SFP™).
A Case Example for TAP™:
An International, High-Tech Company was "plagued" with the inability
to "apply" the Company Strategy & Directions to Company Operations.
The Company was approaching $50 Million in size & long overdue to
complete this task. As much as, the CEO & Senior Staff promoted this
& trained Key employees, they were not able to make it happen. PMG
began the campaign by introducing the Senior Staff to TAP™. This was
sponsored by the CEO. Each Member of the Senior Staff "Mastered" the
fundamentals of TAP™ prior to the Introduction,
Cross-Departmentally. Each V.P. then conducted a Training Workshop
with their Direct Reports (with PMG's assistance). Participants
jointly-developed their TAPs = Target Action Plans, with their
Direct Report Managers for consistency & continuity. Additionally,
TAPs were exchanged, Cross-Departmentally, recognizing that
Departments were "dependent' on one another, to implement their
assigned, TAPs, effectively. TAP™ not only was a Critical Goal &
Priority-Setting Process, it became a Key tool to "negotiate"
priorities & resources, within the Company. The CEO indicated that
TAP™ was critical to moving the Company forward and without it, the
Company would still be struggling to "translate Strategy into
Implementation." The Company continues to apply TAP™ at all levels &
has integrated the Program into the Company's Performance &
Compensation Program. The CEO comments, "Moving the Program to this
level, let's everyone know that we mean business & that this Program
is one of our Highest Priorities."
